Remark:
"Japan ist weit", the German cover version of Alphaville's No.1
hit "Big in Japan", was Sandra's first try as a solo artist after
she separated from the trio Arabesque. Unfortunately it was a total flop
(only 125 singles were sold, although many thousands were produced and
now are a much wanted collector's item) but if it had been a success, who
knows if Sandra had ever become the international pop star we know with
"Maria Magdalena"?
Probably it is not really that unfortunate that "Japan ist weit"
flopped... |
