Sandra on attack (The article that caused a stir in Germany!)

Sandra, the German Madonna; sold 20 Million records, every CD ´Gold´ fans from Stockholm to Birma. But the German press roar: "Sandra neigh as a horse" (´Spiegel´), "Preserves-Entertainer" (´Elle´), "Sissy" (´Hörzu´).
1. Sandra beats back live in BUNTE: "I take journalists not serious. An example; Dieter Bohlen lies out of principal, and the press is so stupid beliefs everything and writes everything. For years Bohlen sells no records anymore. Dieter Bohlen produces only screching and groans, Blue System is a absolute zero-production. Bohlen wants only to make money fast. As so many now he open up his mouth, and he is jealous on the succes of Michael Cretu, my husband (note; »Enigma«, 14 Milion CDs), and me.
Other singers are always praised. Like Grönemeyer. I think that, what Herbert Grönemeyer makes, is not good anymore. It´s banal "schlager"-music in the German way. When I listen to my album, I have to say, it has much ideas, much more work and much more melody behind it. In the early years I was naive, nowadays I don´t try to win somebody over me. They have hurt me badly.
I am working hard, though materialistic luxury doesn´t interest me at all. Our home at Ibiza is spartanicly furnished. Bohlen wants only to gain financialy. What I always say: Envy do you have to conquer. Compasion is a gift that you get. Journalists are also saying, I can´t sing live, nonsense! The organiser has made my tour impossible. They wanted, that I perform in front of a ´red velvet curtain´, »otherwise they won´t made money out of it«. There I have thrown everything down, I am not that stupid! In Japan i´ve given 600 stage performances (rem.: with Arabesque).
In Germany they can´t explain my succes: »How has this dumb cow done that?« The truth is: This year I got my fourth »Bravo«-Otto award, by the kids I am more popular than Madonna. Even grannies are writing me at home. I am born for it, giving pleasure to the people through music.
