Mike: Your watching Good Morning Britain, now our Pop guest today is a young lady making her bid for stardom in this country, although she is already very well known in her native country Germany. In a little over 3 years she had 14 hit singles, 3 gold albums in her home country and a staggering 26 gold albums and 11 number ones throughout Europe. I believe a record only equalled by Madonna in recent years. Welcome to SANDRA.
Sandra:Thank you, welcome.
Mike:Guten morgen.
SandraGuten morgen.
Mike:Wie geht es ?
Sandra:Gut danke.
Mike:

Yeh well that's the end of that interview, thank you.
(Sandra & Mike both laugh)
Sandra you started, you were born in a mining village.
Sandra:Yes in Saarbrücken.
Mike:In Saarbrücken, and how did you start to sing, how did the singing start?
Sandra:I was a ballet dancer and so i got my first... how can I say...when I was on stage i loved it to be on stage.
Mike:You loved being on stage?
Sandra:Yes and I always loved to sing. When I was 12 years I start singing and I made my first record, in the German language at this time. And with 16 I went to a group Arabesque, we were 3 girls and we had a lot of success in Japan and sold there over 6 million records, and we were 7 years together and then the group split and 1 year later I start my solo carreer and I got so many number one hits.
Mike:You have haven't you, you've been a clever girl.
Sandra:Thank you.
Mike:You've been a hit all over Europe but not Britain, is Britain very important? Is it important to you musically.
Sandra:Yes, it's important, it's important for me and I got nearly a small hit last year with ´Everlasting Love´ here in England. And so I wanna do some more promotion here for tp get maybe more interest in people in me. Sandra laughs
Mike:You don't live in Germany any more, where do you live?
Sandra:Now I live on Ibiza.
Mike:Ibiza?
Sandra:Yes.
Mike:Right.
Sandra:That's my island.
Mike:Britains know Ibiza.
Sandra:Yes I know. They are coming very often to our island for their holiday's.
Mike:Your not one of these Germans, you don't sneak out early in the morning to take our deckchains and our sunbeds do you?
Sandra:No!
Sandra laughs
Mike:Cause we have a campaign here on Good Morning Britain you see, against that.
Sandra:Really?
Sandra is very amused.
Mike:Do you know any Germans that do that?
Sandra:No.
Mike:Will you tell them stop doing it if you see them doing it?
Sandra:Yes why not, yea.
Sandra nod's her head
Mike:This is very important, allright? You'd be a big hit here if you could stop that. Now your record called "(Life May Be) A Big Insanity".
Sandra:Yes right.
Mike:You think so?
Sandra:Yes sometimes.
Mike:In what way?
Sandra:You know, that's life
Sandra shrugs her shoulders.
Mike:Bit strange eh!
Sandra:Bit strange.
Mike:Shall we listen to it Sandra?
And the public will vote on you, see if you can be a hit here in Britain. Good to see you, let's have a look at Sandra's video "(Life May Be) A Big Insanity".

Lorraine:"(Life May Be) A Big Insanity", it sometimes is, that's Sandra. Sandra it's a good one, but I notice your singing in English there, when you record in Germany do you record in German?
Sandra:No on Ibiza, we have our studio on Ibiza and we...all the records are in English
Lorraine:Do they get to the top through in Europe if they're in English or do you have to record them in all different languanges?
Sandra:No, No because I am a international artist I always were singing in English, just in English not in German.
Lorraine:Oh!
Sandra:And so...
Lorraine:And what' your plans now, what are you going to be doing now?
Sandra:At the end of the year we will do the next album, the sixth one... and I hope it will react well you know. At the moment we are thinking about what we are doing, and at the moment we are until six, seven o'clock in the morning in studio and so I didn't sleep last night because this is my time to go to bed.
Sandra laughs and looks at her watch.
It's time you know, and it's quite well for me.
Lorraine:Right, well Sandra thanks very much indeed for coming in, and good luck with the single.
Sandra:Thanks.
Lorraine:Thank you.
Mike:Yes, good luck to Sandra.
